Day 06: Khajuraho - Agra
After breakfast proceed for Jhansi. En route visit the village settings of Orchha. A river rafting experience at Betwa River with the backdrop of century old magnificent temples and forts is one of a kind in the world. Picnic lunch would be served at the banks of the river and Thereafter proceed towards railway station in Jhansi from where you will board the train to Agra. On arrival guests will be welcomed very warmly by our English speaking guide he will then escort them to the hotel booked for their stay in the city of legendary Taj Mahal. Enjoy your leisure time at the hotel constructively and indulge in a session with the head chef who will teach you some easy and quick ways to prepare that delicious Indian curry. Recipe would be given to you so you can make the same dishes back home.
Day 07: Agra
The city of Agra has given various reasons to the world to wonder. Its captivating sites dating back to Mughal era are reminiscent of glory, opulence and elite craftsmanship prevailing in ancient India. Your day starts off with a morning visit to magnificent Agra Fort a UNESCO World Heritage Site this gorgeous fort is an erstwhile residence of great Mughal emperors. Relive the regal opulence at Itmad- ud- Daulah’s Tomb which is also referred as ‘jewel box’ due to its stunning structure and gorgeous gardens.

Special permissions are arranged to visit the eternal emblem of love Taj Mahal, a world wonder in the moonlit night when it looks most pristine and heavenly (subject to availability).
After enjoying a dose of opulence and grandeur guests will retire to their rooms in the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 08: Agra - Jaipur
Day begins with your preferred Yoga and meditation session. Today you will drive towards Jaipur, the pink city of Rajasthan. On the way to Jaipur you will visit Fatehpur Sikri. Stay for an hour and explore the Panch Mahal, Buland Darwaja, and Dargah of Sheikh Salim Chisti. Though it is a deserted town now yet the architectural monuments tell the story of a lavish bygone era of Mughals in the region.
You will then resume your drive to Jaipur and upon arrival stay in a beautiful heritage hotel. Dinner will be a great experience today as guests are taken to Chokhi Dhani –a resort with ethnic village settings. It is famed for its Indian and Rajasthani cuisines served amidst a village setting with live music, folk dances, puppet shows and more.
Day 09: At Jaipur
Your day begins early, after breakfast climb the hilltop Amer fort on elephant back. It is an awesome experience entering the fort the way maharajas did on top of an Elephant. It’s a memory that will stay with you for a long time. Explore the stunning fort and then proceed for city sightseeing.
Enjoy an elephant ride at Amber Fort while exploring the fabulous premises of the giant fortress. Continue your sightseeing tour visiting the Hawa Mahal next; situated on a bustling street this giant structure with numerous beautiful windows was originally built for royal ladies to watch daily processions. Moving further with the tour of the city you will visit Jantar Mantar which is a royal observatory built nearly three hundred years ago. The palace complex of City Palace situated in the Pink City is one of the most revered palace complexes in the world.
You will discover the architectural brilliance of the Rajasthani artists. Today you will also visit the famous shopping centers and bazaars of Jaipur for Rajasthani handicrafts and souvenirs.
For dinner we would take you to the local turban museum called Surabhi. Enjoy your Rajasthani dinner while experiencing the folk colors in the form of traditional dance and music performances. Stay overnight at the hotel after enjoying a sumptuous Indian dinner.
Day 10: Jaipur - Delhi
Your Best of North India Tour itinerary will next take you back to the national capital city today. Begin the day with your scheduled Yoga and meditation session first. Later enroute to Delhi visit the elegant Neemrana Fort. It is India’s oldest heritage resorts and commands breathtaking views of the surrounding vistas. Relish your lunch here and resume your journey.
Back at Delhi get dropped at the airport for your flight home. At a nominal extra cost a room for freshening up can be arranged for our guests who have a late night flight. We are sure the memoirs of the tour will linger in your mind forever as you board your flight back to your hometown.
A CD on yoga would be given to you at departure so you could continue the sessions once back in your country. |
